After several successful press and familiarization trips to French Polynesia over the past few years, Tahiti Tourisme organized once again a trip inviting several industry professionals to discover French Polynesia.
In May, during a week, Diane Fraser and Patricia Codere of Fraser Yachts, Katya Jaimes of International Yacht Collection, Carine Zanotti of Camper & Nicholsons Monaco, Barbara Müller of Ocean Independence Palma and Cecile Gauert, Senior Editor of Showboats International were invited to discover “The Islands of Tahiti experience” that a charter guest or yacht owner would have when visiting these islands. This select group met with the local industry key players, shared ideas and gathered useful information.
Throughout the week, they were given the opportunity to discover the authenticity of the Polynesian culture and its smiling, friendly people, and also to explore the breathtakingly beautiful islands of Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora. The motor yacht Askari, which has been chartering successfully for the past 8 years based in Moorea, hosted the very happy group in Moorea providing them with an unsurpassed onboard experience in the beautiful and scenic Opunohu and Cook’s bays. The trip was also a combination of land and underwater discoveries and activities.
Indeed, for years now, French Polynesia has been protecting its reefs, marine mammals, and sea turtles, but also more recently its numerous shark species since 2006. It is therefore a tropical heaven for snorkelers and divers. Such events are the perfect opportunity for Tahiti Tourisme to discuss destination trends and clients’ demands with key players in order to continue improving the services provided to Superyachts visiting our islands and match their guests’ expectations.
These six ladies have now become new “Ambassadors” for our islands, making this group of devoted professionals bigger every year and allowing the “Tahiti” network to grow.
