Over the past six years, the team at Tahiti Tourisme has been strongly supporting communication and marketing actions to the Superyacht industry, especially in Monaco and Fort Lauderdale, greatly contributing to the development of French Polynesia as the first hub for Superyachts coming into the Pacific.
With an average of 50 yachts visiting and chartering in our islands every year, Tahiti welcomes the largest number of yachts in the South Pacific. We felt it was time for the destination to move one step further. Tahiti Tourisme and the board of the renowned International Superyacht Society (www.superyachtsociety.org) in Florida, long-time supporters of our islands, naturally started discussing the idea to combine our efforts with the yearly prestigious “ISS Awards for Design and Leadership Gala Dinner » event where about 350 to 400 industry key leaders meet for a festive and professional moment the night before the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show opens.
Tahiti Tourisme will be one of the main sponsors this year, bringing “Tahitian flair” to South Florida thanks to an authentic and memorable Tahitian touch to the event. Some industry professionals who have now become “Ambassadors” of the destination (ie. previous familiarization trips to Tahiti and yacht captains) will attend and support this initiative.
This special night will be the opportunity to network and also to allow a large audience of discerning specialists to discover our pristine and beautiful islands.
